Culloden Fields

In 1746, Culloden was the site of the last battle fought on the British mainland and the final confrontation between the Jacobites – amongst which were Scottish Highlanders – and the loyalist army. The rebels lost; Scotland would remain part of the Union. Inverness, Scotland, September 2014.
